Pyynikki Observation Tower
On Thursday we went on a trip around Tampere with our new Finnish friends.
They took us to the Pyynikki Observation Tower, which is a 26 meter tall and nearly 100 year old tower, which was built on the highest point of the Pyynikki hill. It was designed for, and opened on, the 150-year celebration of Tampere.
Some of us ate some absolutely amazing sugared doughnuts that are sold in the doughnut cafe at the bottom of the tower. We then went up to the top of the tower and looked around and talked about all that we had experienced that day. The tower offers amazing views all over the forests and lakes of Tampere.

Näsinneula Tower
On Sunday we visited the highest building in Tampere called Näsinneula Observation Tower.
We went up with a very futuristic elevator. It took only about 15 seconds to reach the top of the 120m high tower.
The top of the tower is located 168 meters above the ground. Since it was a beautiful day,
the view was stunning. We were able to appreciate the beautiful lake, city and its architecture surrounding us.
We also had a really good coffee, which was included in the ticket price.
We also went to an aquarium, which is a part of the tower complex, where we were able to see the beauty of underwater life.
We spent about half of the day experiencing the best places in Tampere.
Overall, visiting the Observation Tower in Tampere was a highlight of our trip to Finland.
The experience left a lasting impression on us and made us appreciate the beauty of the city even more.
